This error only appears if Ornatrix is installed?

Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)

Yes, when I uninstall ornatrix my c4d works fine until I install ornatrix again.

Ok. We will take a look. Thank you.

What's your version of C4D?

Is it generating a crash report?

R20

Even the new nightly build doesn't work.

Are you sure the error is not there when you uninstall Ornatrix? Looks to be related to Arnold plugin, not Ornatrix.

Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)

It's only there when I install ornatrix.

Hi! We did some changes on the distribution to try solve this problem. Can you try the next nightly?

Thanks,

Roger

It still showed those errors.

We're trying to replicate the problem but it always work here. Can you list all your installed plugins?

One user reported that upgrading the nvidia drivers soved that issue.

I don't have an Nvidia GPU and if i clear all my plugins the error still occurs, should i still list them?

So just Ornatrix and nothing else still causes the problem?

Do you remember what was the last build that works?

This one

I know you are using C4D R20 but it's really important to always tell the full version (R20.xxx). This has to match with our currrent supported build, which is R20.059. If it's not the same, I would suggest to upgrade.

We're talking to Maxon to try to figure this out, they also suggest to "install Cinema on a new path to have a clean installation; and install your plugin on the new installation to avoid potential side conflicts."

I'm using R20.059.

Since the 22nd of august release(last one that worked) I've been testing all the nightly builds for windows, none worked all showed the same error even the "stable" release.

Without reproducing the error locally it's really hard to fix this. No one at Maxon have seen this happening, I just found aone developer that also can't sove this.

I've been trying different things without luck. It seems to be some installation, configuration or conflict issue, I think the best would be to zip your whole C4D directory and send to us. Is that possible? You said that the problem happens even if it has only Ornatrix and no other plugin, right? You could leave out the executables, help and content library to reduce size.

Maxon also suggests that you try a fresh C4D install, have you tyried that? Butr please zip and save that installation, it's the only evidence to the bug.

Thanks for the response, Let me try the fresh install if the error occurs again I'll zip it.

New location, Fresh Install=Same error.

Seen?

got the link, downloading to test...

Your installation works perfectly here, we could try the preferences too. If you go to Edit, Preferences, there's a button on the botton Open Preferences Folder. Can you send that zipped folder too?

This is the prefs.

No error with your prefs and your full c4d install.

We did a refactor of the c4d build system yesterday, some small errors were fixed, can you try the new build?

Also, we upgraded started supporting R21.026. Can you run on Ornatrix on R21?

Yes ornatrix works on r21 but I can't migrate to r21, because the viewport doesn't show-my integrated graphics card(Intel HD 3000) doesn't meet the OpenGL requirements so I'll stick with r20, I'll try the new build and give feedback.

Unfortunately-The same error.

I have some feedback from Maxon...

Could you ask if your customer has c4dp_20.0.26.xdl64 or c4dp_20.0.30.xdl64 in his corelibs folder? And if it's the case to remove them. This "plugin" patch the memory of Cinema 4D and breaks the resource parser.

Yessssssssss at last, it has worked, thank you very much and thanks to Maxon dev.

Finally!!!

Have a nice grooming! :)
