Problem

Description:

After downloading and installing version 2.4.2.33473 for C4D 2023, the plugin no longer works when I open c4D 2023. Ornatrix is on the menu bar, but when I click on it, no drop down menu appears. I was forced to reinstall the previous version 2.4.1.32577 in order to get it working again. I am on a Mac Pro 2019 running Macos Ventura 13.5.2.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Download version 2.4.2.33473 installer for Ornatrix C4D 2023.

2. Install and follow the prompts.

3. Open C4D 2023.

4. Try clicking on the Ornatrix menu item on the Menu bar. No dropdown menu appears. Error messages pop up if you try to open a file with an Ornatrix hair groom in it.

Have you updated C4D to the latest version (I think it was 2023.2) ?

Yes.

Looks like the problem is related to licensing.

Please try the following:

Delete this file: ~/.local/share/OrnatrixC4DLicenseServerIP.txt

Reinstall the plugin from the downloaded .pkg file (make sure you have not renamed the downloaded file).

Start C4D 2023.

The Ornatrix authorization dialog should appear, choose between online licensing by clicking Connect with an empty IP box or click "Install license server on this computer" to run the license server locally.

If it still doesn't work, please send me this file: ~/.local/share/EphereLicensingLog.txt

I do run it in R25 since that's that last version working on Apple Silicon chips. It did work before. So I should be able to get it up and running.
