Hi. I don`t understand how to export properly animation in the alembic. And how to record animation. In the documentation page written that in export windows you must to designate from time to time and it automatically saves the animation. But when I reimport alembic file there is no animation.
And also do you no unreal engine 4.24 new Groom system does it support cache animation from alembic file in the sequencer? |
| I found a solution, how to get out of the situation, how to start the animation in UE4 in the sequencer. Add the operator mesh from the strands and export via the standard alembic cinema 4d. But I would like to be able to export hair animation without geometry, and in the form of strands because it looks prettier in UE4 and also through a special ornatrix alembik |
| Hello, Be sure to use the Ornatrix Alembic format when exporting the animation. Of you can just use the Animation Cache on top of your hair stack and press the Record button. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.) |

| may seem ridiculous but I don’t understand how to set it all up and how to use it. Could you record a tutorial on how to use this operator an animation cache and how to export hair animation |
| mech from hair alembic file with animation is so big. Very important to know how to play an animation in the groom system in unreal engine4.24 version without mesh, only with strands. There is no option like geometry cache( |
| Sure, no problem. Step 1: Create your animation or hair simulation: Step 2: Add AnimationCache, enter a file name and click Record Animation: Step 3: When the recording process ends, the recorded file will be used for animation automatically, you can remove the Moov Physics (Or whatever you are using to animate the hair) and leave Animatiion Cache.
