Normalize bringing system down to a halt

Hello

 

The Normalizing operator causes my system to grind to a complete halt, at times it never recovers so I have to force a restart of C4D.  Im putting this operator right at the end of the stack.  Im testing on a basic sphere, no animation added.

I did not understand what the essence of this node is, but it also loads the system very much 

It basically De-tangles the strands, smooths them out which is nice before using simulation, but the system load is huge.
