Multiplier operator making weird deformations

Hi,

I'm trying to make a dread like this tutorial:

But I'm facing a problem in C4D, when I make the multiplier alone, the shape of the hairs with the twist have the right shape.
When I add a deformer (gravity, surface comb, or even if I edit them) they deform and the twist doesn't work properly.

I just wanted to know if it's a ornatrix C4D issue, or I'm building it wrong.
Here I attach some images about what I'm talking about.
