Hi hope everyone is well and keeping safe at this testing time we are all in. I have some observations about the Moov physics that need addressing. As there is no videos for C4D I follow what I can find in Maya or Max versions. Im using real world scale objects and cant replicate the same results. As of yet if not been able to get any simulation for longer drapped hair without it being erratic. Rest state: When I either use set rest state of simulate rest state the hair moves to the location of the last frame? Visualizer: When visualizer is turned on the normals of the object reverse, or I get a clipping effect in the view port? Initial set parameters producing erratic results. Although the settings need to be understood and set up, so far iv found no simulation using the default settings simulate in a reasonable way, the hair is very erratic and does not seem to settle, even if the limit stretch is on and Attract to initial shape option is used. Maybe some training or videos would be good, or publish a C4D scene with a simulation set up to learn from? | |

I wasn't finished in writing my thread when it submitted, can't go back and edit it?
To conclude: I have followed this series of videos and found I could not get even close results. Although following a step by step tutorial for Maya may not translate as actually understanding what to tweak I find C4D own simulation settings are easy to tame and get results is a very short time. Having an overview in the docs of what each parameter does is a start but it does not aid in how to use it as collectively, but rather what each setting do on paper. Again, C4D scene files. and a simple short demo tutorial will go along way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5T0_66w5Fc
Thanks. Dan

In this scene Moov is removed, no other animation cache is added, yet the hair moves randomly? |
