Please what is the oldest version of Cinema 4D compatible with Ornatrix under Windows (I am currently on Windows 7) ?  Is Ornatrix 4D a permanent offline license which I can just easily move around with my offline software ?  Version 2 of Ornatrix looks absolutely amazing but is a big investment for me, so if necessary can I use the hairstyles to transfer to another package like Lightwave ?  Any thoughts appreciated.  Smile

Hello,

The oldest C4D version compatible is the last R10 build. However, we didn't test under Windows 7.

The license can be locked or floating. You can release it and attach to a different computer. This process have to do done manually because the option of online licensing that we have in Maya and Max is not persent in C4D yet.

The grooms can only be exported as Alembic. If the software that you want to use supports Alembic, the answer is yes. However this format holds the collapsed hair. There are no parameters to modify. It will export basic data like strand id, UVs, etc.

Thank you very much Jeordanis.  Could I just ask if that means the latest version Ornatrix V2 is compatible as far back as version Cinema 4D R10, or would that only be true for an earlier version of Ornatrix ?  Thanks again. Smile

I'm sorry. I meant R19! V1 and V2 are compatible with said version.

You can also try the demo to be 100% sure that it is compatible with your build of C4D.
