I see answer in 3d max documentation. It is a pity that there is no such possibility, since the absence of this function negates the use of this approach to creating a hairstyle for a character.You can create clumps based on the guides which were used to generate the hair. For this you need to have a Hair from Guides modifier below Clump modifier in the hair stack. If the hair was not created from guides, for example if Hair from Mesh Strips or Baked Hair modifiers are used, then this method of clump generation will not work. | |

Hi, You get this error because you don't have any guides in your groom. Hair from Mesh Strips is generating hairs, not guides, and you keep them like that for the whole stack.
