How can you achieve or approach this hairstyle? FYI: It is a full braid from the scalp to the lats bit of the braid. It's not like two separate grooms.

I have done this but I need more suggestions and approaches.

One thing you can do is generate the braids as separate objects using the Braid object node. Convert the braids to curves using Curves from Strands. Take the roots of the curves and manually snap them to the head, and finally generate hairs again from those curves using the Hairs from Curves preset.

You can also try Braids with clump patterns.

Thanks for the quick response but I have a few issues.

I tried the clump and the braid technique, which looks like something I want.

But the detail of the braids is in the almost tip area of the hair. Though the points on the stands are uniform. Also, it's hard to scale the overall shape of the generated hair braid. I used the clump to control the tapering of the whole braid but it doesn't give me enough control.

If there is a way to get the uniform detail of the braid from the root to the tip, I could work with that.
