Please see my video below. I use alembic as mesh. And when apply texture for a distribution map in hair from guides it is not working. Vertex map can solve the problem, but this is not beneficial to me since the polygon of the object is small and the shape of the hairstyle looks worse from this than from the texture.
I also need to add physics to certain parts of the guides. I am trying to do caching in order to be sure of the render, but my cache with override input breaks my hair node, and also when I try to render from 200 frame, for example, i reactive bad results and only one way have to render fine it is start to render from 0 frame to the end what is which is not acceptable for workflow.
