Hi, I have an issue, i can't export the guide in an alambic files with the good data of some braid haid.
I didn't found any information about that, can you help me please? You can check the screenshot in attachment. |
| HI, It looks like you forgot to include the attachment. How are you exporting the hair? Exporting it as Ornatrix Alembic should work. You need Unreal Engine 4.27+ for it to work. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.) |
| Ah sorry! Yes i export as an Ornatrix alembic. I just finish a project using ornatrx with c4d fto export from unreal and all was fine but with the braid system i don't find the way to export correctly my guide... I need to export the guide that the hair frome mesh strips generate but it doesn't work :/ thank you !

| I try to export as an ornatrix alembic each setup (fur ball, Ornatrix Hair, Braid guid) but only the fur ball can be openend but it contain only my guid for the 2 braid. it don't contain all the hair guide that i need for unreal. I try to find some tutorial to know what i need to export but i don't find any solution. |
| I can't reproduce the issue. It seems to work as expected. I generated hairs from polygon strips using Hairs from Mesh Strips, exported them as Ornatrix Alembic with the "Unreal Engine 4 Export" setting enabled, then I imported it into UE with a click and drag. This is how it looks: C4D:

I included a scene and the exported abc file for you to test. The scene was created in C4D R25. Have in mind that you need the latest build of UE. If it still doesn't work, you may need to update Ornatrix to the latest build. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.) |
