Hi, I wonder how to render hairs in Vray5 using the vray hair material without transforming the hairs into geometry... Did not find instructions in the docs.

Hi,

Unfortunately VRay is not supported yet. The only way to render the hair is converting the hair to polygons or spline curves.

Edit: Alembic is another option. Export the hair as Ornatrix Alembic format and then VRay will be able to render it.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. Well disapointed because the Vray logo is presented in the info page of Ornatrix for Cinema4D, i thought it would be simple. Your product is so great. I will try the export Alembic format.

ok Jeordanis, we can only use Ornatrix for learning purpose for the moment, not in production. A pity.
