Is it possible to loop moov physics?

Hello, I am trying to figure out how to loop a 300 frame animation with moov physics, but so far I have had no success. Is this possible and if so how?

Hi,

Do you mean loop it like an endless animation?

Yes exactly!

That is not possible with a hair simulation, it is a simulation after all. What are you trying to do, exactly? Maybe I can offer alternatives.

Hello, thank you for getting back to me.

1. My current project I am trying to create a simple animation, mostly focused on the head/face. It is a woman with long hair swaying back and forth. The idea is to make an endless loop. I tried animating this for hand with the "gravity tag." It looks okay, but moov is obviously so much better and quicker, haha.
Do you have a better suggestion?

2. A bit of a rant, but so you know where I am coming from: with another plugin (Forester) I was able to make a cached simulation to loop with some magic. I was hoping I could do something similar with an Ornatrix Alembic file and "Animation Cache" tag. For Forester, what I did was;

1. Calculate and cache a tree wind simulation,
2. Press C to make the cached tree editable,
3. I put the tree in the animation timeline and went to functions > Bake Objects,
4. Check PLA and pressed ok,
5. Now I could delete the original tree,
6. Then I followed this simple tutorial from cineversity https://www.cineversity.com/vidplaylist/creating_a_seamless_looping_flag_animation/creating_a_seamless_looping_flag_animation_introduction
I attached an image from the video that kind of showed how I was able to make it loop.

Obviously I was not successful in trying to replicate this for an ornatrix simulation. It fails on step 2, when I try and make the cached hair editible. It becomes a spline.
I exported my hair with "Ornatrix Alembic", merged the Ornatrix Alembic file to the project, then got an "Animation Cache" tag and then loaded the animation. It works really good, no problem with the cached animation.
I just simply cannot recreate the loop that I did with Forester, and I assume that this method (or something similiar) is impossible? :(
