Hello.

The way the brushes tend to groom is it pulls hair all the way back to the roots which can destroy some of the work already done.  Is there a way to preserve or freeze part of the groom from further manupulation?

In this context Im dealing with long hair, the hair over the head is good, but still needs some grooming on the main length, problem is while grooming the length part it pulls on the root end and messes up the stye on the head.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi, sorry I missed this one.

The comb brushes have Strength and Attenuation curves that you can use to reduce or increase the effect of the brush from the strand root to the tip. Try that.

Edit Guides have commands to Hide or Freeze selected strands. Is this what you are looking for?

Ok I think I got it. In Maya the solution is to set the Combing Algorithm to Local or Legacy but I don't think we have this option in C4D yet. We'll look into it. Thanks!
