Hello guys.
I'm currently experiencing a lot of issue with Ornatrix V3and edit tool, wathever the version of C4D.
One of them is that sometime, selecting hairs carefully lead to a lot of unwanted hairs to be selected (far from the source selection).
You can see it in action on the video (R23 and R26 tests).
Longest are the hairs and worst it is.
I use to reset my hairs to 1cm to make selections when I can, but in many case, it's not possible.
Shift key to had selection also often bugs and isn't taken into account.
When this happen, we have to undo, press shift, retry.
And the bad days, re-undo, re-shift press, re-try again until 5 or 10 times.
This is impossible to reproduce.
Even if everything work perfectly in a scene, at somme point, it bugs ... then re-work ...

In a more general way, a fonctionality to not select hairs that are behind the character mesh will be really appreciated :-)

We fixed a similar issue related to selection recently, please give it another try.

Regarding the selection of strands behind the head, have you tried the option "Ignore back-facing strands"?

--> Yes I did, but no success.

--> I use the last V3 build (22 september), so no update and no fix since I created this thread.

I tried last V2 during hollidays but found other issues, so I'll stay on V3, at least I know the limitation pretty well now :-)

I tried again in both V2 and V3 beta and the selection bug is fixed. Have in mind that I'm referring to the nightly builds from December 29 and December 27 respectively. 

Give it another try with the latest nightly builds.

I'll try with last V2 tomorow.

I installed the last V3 (Decembre) today but push-away don't work with external meshes so I forgave it in less than 2 minutes.

I'm on V2 now, I'll see if that work.
