Hair Flipping when using Arnold

Hi there,

I am having an issue when using Ornatrix with Arnold.

As you can see from the image the hair seems to be flipping on the Z-Axis when rendered in the viewport. I tried it in Redshift and noticed the same thing doesn't happen so it might be an Arnold issue but was wondering if anyone else had come across this.

Thanks,

Nelson

So I think it is Ornatrix, because when I use a native C4D hair object with Arnold it works fine

Hi,

Can you share the scene for testing?

Apologies should've done that the first time around. Here you go

Attached Files:

>COM220406_Fox_Clan_SHT_30_017+(UPLOAD).c4d (9404561 bytes),

Realised I uploaded the wrong file, here's the correct file. Please can I get some help with this:

Attached Files:

>COM220406_Fox_Clan_SHT_30_018_(UPLOAD).c4d (4660422 bytes),

For me your scene renders just a back image, with multiple errors about missing files or invalid files in the log.
Please double check the scene and send one that is ready to render with one click for better debugging.

I stripped it right down. Third time lucky

I can reproduce the issue after cleaning up the original scene. The priority is high so the team will be looking into this very soon. Thanks for your report.

Great, thanks

This is fixed in the latest nightly build. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

So the issue seems to be fixed with version 3.0.4.32388. Just to check, is that the version you updated? Just asking because I see it's a Beta Version

Yes, but we added the fix to version 2 as well. I a new nightly build should be online.

Hey Jeordanis, just tried version 2 and it is working too.

Thanks for the follow up.
