I can not find feature that supports selection. Generate Groom From Selection - does not work, i can not save grooms

I am not sure if we added support for selection yet, I'll get back to you on that. For now yes, please use scalp.

I can not find feature that supports selection.

There's two ways to do it, both using a Selection Tag. You can either drop the tag into the HairObject's Mesh Link, or check GuidesFromMesh's Use Face Include and it will to use the first selection tag of your mesh.

This feature is currently not implemented.

I have question:
Does Ornatrix support multiple selection? Should be one Ornatrix object in scene?

Testing in R20. Roger, Marsel and Ephere team - great job!

 

There is strange response from selection by fields in r20. Thats why i like vertex maps.

@ilay7k  In your screen shot you seem to have way more options Than I see in r20, I only have add hair and Im on the latest nightly build 17126?

I use Customize dialog to get objects from Ornatrix plug-in and set them to custom pallete. Also i put scripts(i post them in this topic).

You invoke Add Hair, plug-in commands make Ornatrix hair object(from groom presets is Furball name) and ornatrix tags.

 

I think Ornatrix Guides object is helper object or w-i-p object

Fields work just fine in selection tag (as source mesh for Ornatrix)

Looks like most important step is "refresing" of selection.
