thoguh I see it is wip as adding this animation operator kills hair, I notice a file path is key feature here. What kind of files are expected to be fed in here ? Is it an ornatrix special own file format and where to get animation files from from ?

Hello,

The Animation Cache operator is intended to record the simulation or animation and load an alembic file that contains the animation. For example, you add this operator on top of the hair stack and press Record, the resulting animation will be stored in an Alembic file for later use. Find more information here:

In current build it is indeed just a stump. Please wait for the next stable version to see it working properly. Animation operator will allow Alembic storing and loading workflows.
