Can you tell your 3dsmax version, and the exact Ornatrix version?

Most likely we'll need your scene, I don't think we can guess the problem just from the screenshots. I suppose it is caused by the Surface Comb modifier (you can verify that by temporarily disabling it), maybe in combination with something specific about the distribution mesh, but we can't tell details without examining the scene.
