Description: | Hi, When I add a map to thickness in render settings mod, I get an instant crash. Also whilst it does not crash when assigning vertex colour to thickness, it has an effect, but its a strange one affecting hair profile along length. Vertex colour assigned to hair thickness when root distribution set to guides as hair results in no visible hair (even with all white vertex colour) I'm using 4.1.6.6303 (with max 2016 SP1)
Cheers, Tom |
Steps to Reproduce: | create plane 10 x 10 segments add vertex colour modifier and paint vertices a bit (between black and white) add quick hair (furball) to the plane click assign channel button on Ox Render Settings modifier and pick mesh(0): vertex colour observe strange shaped hairs Now try dropping or creating a map in thickness map slot and watch as Max crashes

Crash is fixed in the next build, thank you. I will have to make a more thorough investigation for the vertex colours. Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.) |
