Problem

Description:

Hello,

When I make hair guides using Ox Hair from Mesh Strip then collapse them to Ox baked guides and save the scene, I found some of baked guides are got broken when I open scene again.

Broken Guides

It seems the guides made by poly plane which was picked into Ox Hair from Mesh Strip at the last will be get broken. Is it common problem or not?

thanks,

Kei

Steps to Reproduce:

Fixed in next version, thank you for the report.

Kei

Hi,

I was away from hair task long time and now come back. And I found there are still same bug even though the latest build.

We are using max 2015 sp3. Do you have same problem as well?

thanks,

Kei

Hi Kei,

If I understand correctly, you are creating hair from mesh strips, converting this hair to guides and then baking the guides?

Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)

Hi Jeordanis,

Yes, I put "Ox Hair from Mesh Strip" in my scene and bring poly plane in it. THen add "Ox Mesh From Strand" modifier to convert Hair to Mesh. And then I add "Ox Guide From Guide Mesh " modifier to make guides. After then, I add "Ox Dynamics" and run simulation using MassFX Tools. After finishing simulation. I collaps all of modifier except "Ox dynamics" and save scene. Now this object is"Ox Baked Guides".  But after that, once I make render scene and merge those"Ox Baked Guides" into scene, this problem always happens.

Is it enough information for you?

Thanks,

Kei

Thanks for the info, Kei, this should be enought to reproduce the problem. I will get back to you soon.
