Summary

It seems i can workaround it by deactivating the modifiers above the Ox surface comb. ( I had Ox Hair from guide, Ox render settings and VRayOrnatrixMod.

I try to see if i can reproduce it on a sphere.

I can't reproduce ti on a simple scene. I'try to isolate it in my scene and share it here...

Here I isolated the problematic object: just open the scene, select the fur, go in the Ox surface comb modifier and try to create a few guides. It will crash when clicking to create, sometimes it takes 2 or 3 atempts.

It seems to be related to the VrayOrnatrixMod when I deactivate that modifier alone, it does not crash anymore.
