gravity modifier wont accept force map, only vertex color channels

I just tried with Ox 5.2.0.11954 [Nightly], it seems to be working fine. Can you reproduce this in a simple scene with an sphere?

Nope not working, I just test it on simple plane with checker map as force map and black pixels are interpreted as unlimited force so all hairs pointing directly down and not as zero force. With vertex color map everything works fine. See attached file.

Thanks for the extra info Frodo, now is more clear. The map is working but not in the way it should. I'll create a ticket for this problem and keep you updated.

Frodo, this has been fixed in the latest nightly build (11989) which will be online in a few hours, please give it a try and le tus know.
