Hi !

I have a mysterious problem: i have a giraffe with ornatrix system, rendering perfectly in interior ambiance (Vray Light classic), 

but when i render in large scene, with VraySun, the fur on the body be rendering with the count of viewport, with the exact same parameters of rendering, just the ambiance change

Can you help me ?

What version and build of VRay and Ornatrix are you using? Are you able to reproduce this issue in a new scene?

Vray version is 3.40.02 and Ornatrix version is 5.1.5.11228

I dont try to reproduce this issue, i have the problem just with one ambiance exterior

With the same assets and versions of vray and ornatrix, but different ambiance, no problem

The same happens if you delete VRayOrnatrixMod and add a MeshFromStrands instead?

Also, i test with others parameters for eliminate the problems, and it's appears the rendering of the hair depends of the distance with the center of the world

The giraffe looks good have a animation where it stays around the center of world

But the giraffe doesn't work is further with his animation, and he doesn't work
I try to translate this character to the center of the world, with the same mesh, and after point cache, the fur appear !

Really strange

I try with Mesh Strands, it seems working ! But the RAM explodes and with two giraffes it's growing up to 120 Go and freeze on farm machine...

Yes, MeshFromStands is not the correct workflow in this case, I just wanted to test something. Thank you for the details, we are looking into this.

Hello,

Please try the latest stable build and let us know if it's rendering fine now. I wasn't able to reproduce this on my end but we fixed something similar a few weeks ago.
