Hi,

This happens when you have another version of Max with Ox installed, then you uninstall Max without unistalling Ox first. The thing is that the Ox installer will try to unistall itself before installing the new version, in your case Ox does not find the previous installation files because the version of Max where it was installed first is not there anymore.

The solucion is to install the version of Max you had before, uninstall Ox and proceed the perform a proper installation.

Yes, i've already found out the solution myself. Anyway, thank you for the reply.Smile

Could you tell me your solution please?

The same as yours. I had 3ds Max 2017 and the plugin on it, but 3ds Max 2017 has some issues, so I decided to install 2018 version, but forget to uninstall the plugin. Now I just installed 2017 again and successfully uninstall the previous plugin.

Hi guys! I just tried to install in a fresh new win10 installation and o got same message blink7 received. I had no previous installation of 3dsmax nor ornatrix...

Which 3dsMax version do you have installed?

If you have say 2018, please check if you have this registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\3dsMax\20.0 and the value Installdir inside it, containing the root directory of the 3dsMax installation.

Then check if that directory really exists (usually C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2018).

If you don't have any 3dsMax installed, Ornatrix installer won't work.
