Falloff for generated strand data ( inside object method )

Hi,

trying to simulate a curly hair strand which gets straightened while moving through a hair straigtener.

I managed to get it running with Generate Strand data modifier and "is inside object " method, so a value is generated and  then used for the Magnitude vaule for the Ox strand curling modifier.

Is there a way to include some falloff, so that the transition between straight and curled isnt that hard ?


We'll try to make this possible through the "distance to object" value, after modifying it to calculate the distance to the mesh surface, because currently it simply returns the distance to the first mesh vertex.
