Hi all, I wrote up the Ornatrix grooming-and-baking pipeline I use for stylized characters: choosing Fur Ball vs. mesh strips, mask-driven regional control (density / gravity / length multipliers painted in Substance), look-dev for both methods, and a rigging-safe bake & handoff. It's all generic technique: UI, operator stacks and masks, no client work.

I also released a small free, open-source Maya tool (MIT) that builds the operator stack in this order in one click and keeps heavy grooms responsive.

Would genuinely love feedback from other Ornatrix users, especially on the bake, Attach Roots step and how you handle multi-mask animal fur. Happy to expand any section.
