"All your licenses are assigned to other computers" - with no hardware changes

I haven't used Ornatrix in a while and started today, but got this message right when attempting to use the Ox Render Settings modifier. I successfully managed to create hair from mesh strips with no license messages, but couldn't get past Ox Render Settings.

The machine has received no hardware changes since the last time Ornatrix was used.

However, the new Windows update that was released a few days back has been installed.

I experimentally turned off the firewall to no avail.

Another question is that the manual states that releasing licenses in the license management page, that:

"Select the license(s) which you want to move to another computer and press the red Release Licensesbutton. Note that doing this will no longer allow you to use this license on specified computer."

I think you should state here whether releasing a license from a machine is permanent and irreversible, because that's not clear, and therefore I'm asking this, before I render Ornatrix permanently unusable on my machine.

Hi,

The licensing problem is caused by Windows Update. Feel free to release the license. This just mean that you can't use Ox in your previous computer while is assigned to another.

Thanks, worked like a charm.

I have the same problem, but we use a floating Lic here. It works on the first Max Start (Max 2020 btw) but after a Max reset I get the error info.

What's is the best way to fix it?

thanks
Michael

Ok. I released the lic as suggested before under "Account -> mylicenses" and reinstalled InstallLicense.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.exe on out Licserver once again. It seems it's working again :)

Thanks
Michael
