hello,

i have problem to transfer animated guides from maya to max via abc and strand animation modifiers it always loads incorect after loading the cache. so it will by goo to have an option to switch the axis of incoming cache in strand animation

or do you have any other way to do it?

Plese try turning OFF "Use Global Coordinates" option when exporting the .abc file.

it dont help everiteme i press undetach roots in ground strands it rotates

How are you exporting the .abc file? Can you please describe the steps?

just select the ornatrix object with and export it as ornatrix alembic

But I can't see any Ornatrix object in your Maya scene. Are you exporting from Maya to Max or from Max to Maya?

i remove it for the testing scene. from maya to max

i was able to transfer the animation via exporting mesh from strands as alembic and then in max use it as guide mesh but if it works throungh strand animation export/import will be better

Alright. I will try doing it from scratch. But glad to hear it worked using Mesh From Stands.

all this is to think about how to simplified transfering animation from maya and max or vice versa :) now its not really confortable
