Problem

Description:

I get this error when I open the attribute editor after applying a MeshFromStrands node in maya 2020 only:

// Error: source "AEnewNonNumericMulti";
 //
// Error: "C:/Program Files/Ephere/Ornatrix for Maya/scripts/Autoload/AETemplates/AEMeshFromStrandsNodeTemplate.mel" line 3.30: Cannot find file "AEnewNonNumericMulti" for source statement. //

I've tried reinstalling both Maya & ornatrix

Steps to Reproduce:

Hello,

Do you have the attribute editor opened in different places, like the hyper shade window? What exact build of Ornatrix are you using?

No, just regular attribute editor window. updated Ornatrix with latest build when I reinstalled. Works fine In Maya 2019

attatched image of how the attribute editor appears with MeshFromStrands node selected.

Are you using vanilla Maya 2020? We don't support 2020, there are some problems in Ox caused by a bug in Maya. You should upgrade to 2020.1.

it's 2020.2

Emm.. Problem not resolved? Only switching to the old version will help. So sad

Hi,

This issue is not reproducible here in any OS or Maya version. By the error it looks like there is a missing file in Maya itself. In the error:

Cannot find file "AEnewNonNumericMulti" for source statement. //

 "AEnewNonNumericMulti" is actually a Maya file. Please check if you have this file in YourMayaRoot\scripts\AETemplates   ?

But file is in place

That is the .res file. There should be a AEnewNonNumericMulti.mel file. Try a global search, maybe it's in the settings folder.

I looked at everything from this file, only res. Reinstalling doesn't help

This is now fixed in the next nightly build. We removed the dependencies for the missing file. Thank you for the report.
