| Hi, Can you try resetting your Maya settings? Rename the settings folder and run it again. This issue is not reproducible in our side but we have another issue that solved the issue by removing the settings folder. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.) |
| Hi,
I tried that today and unfortunetly didn't work. It still crashes as soon as maya launches. |
| Are you on the latest stable build? Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.) |
| Assuming you are on Windows, try starting Maya after removing this file: C:\Program Files\Ephere\OrnatrixMaya2022\plug-ins\procedurals\Ephere.Ornatrix.ArnoldProcedural6.2.dll (and any other files in that directory, if any). | Hi Ivan!
That seems to have done it! Thanks alot! |
| As we cannot reproduce this crash, could you help us figure out what's causing it by providing some information? What is the version of Maya from the About dialog and the version of the "mtoa" plugin from Plug-in Manager? Is the "mtoa" plug-in set to "Auto load"? I suppose you haven't installed any MtoA for Maya 2022 from SolidAngle, you have the one that came with Maya? Ivan Kolev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.) | Hi Ivan,
The Maya version in the about window, just says Maya 2022. The mtoa version is 4.2.1 and it is set to auto load yes. Also yes, I have the one that came directly with Maya. |
| Thank you. For now all I can suggest is to try to install one of the newer MtoA versions (4.2.2 or 4.2.3) to see if they would make a difference, but as long as you don't want to test the new (yet experimental) rendering hair through an Arnold procedural you don't need to do that.
