Problem

Description:

Hi,
thanks for reading this-
I'm pretty stuck, v4 running in maya 2022, or 2023 gives an error when trying to create dynamics.

OxAddStrandOperator2.mel line 34: Error evaluating argument at position 2 in procedure "stringArrayContains".

i downloaded latest v3 release (and some older ones) to try and roll back, and when i run them it says all licenses are assigned on other machines, though in my account, only one license is assigned and it's running on the machine I'm trying to run the plugin on.. I also had this version of ornatrix running literally an hour ago before i updated, i wish i hadn't done that!

pretty desperate, i'm on a fast production here with no time to spare, so might have to just abandon ornatrix at this point

Steps to Reproduce:

make a sphere, put hair on it, add dynamics- error, tried on 2022 and 2023

install v3 again after running v4, license error

Yes, Dynamics operator was removed in V4, it was already superseded by Moov in V3.

If you can't make the switch to Moov right now, you should be able to return to V3. Your V3 and V4 licenses are both assigned to the machine named DESKTOP-7SOI2D5, so both V3 and V4 should work there.

One thing you may try is write 'localhost' in the IP/Hostname text box of the authorization dialog and click Connect.

If that doesn't work, please e-mail to me these files to try to figure out the problem (or DM them to me on our Discord server):

C:\ProgramData\Ephere\EphereLicensingLog.txt
C:\Users\YOUR-USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\OrnatrixMaya2023.log
C:\Users\YOUR-USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\OrnatrixMaya2024.log

Another thing to try is reinstall the license server by first uninstalling it following the instructions from https://ephere.com/docs/Uninstalling_License_Server.html and rebooting your machine, and then trying to authorize V3, which will install it again.

Hi Ivan, thanks for getting back to me, yes that makes sense regarding the dynamics operator,
Im not sure how or why, but my license started working again.
