Description:

Hi,

 

It looks like the hair doesnt really get the color from the base mesh.

The color is here, but this is wrong.

Steps to Reproduce:

Maya 2015 win 64

[2016/Jun/28|16:52:57] V-Ray: V-Ray for Maya version 3.45.01, revision 26813 from Jun 9 2016, 04:59:17
[2016/Jun/28|16:52:57] V-Ray: V-Ray core version is 3.25.01

 

Create a sphere

Add a vrayMtl + a checker texture in the diffuse. Set colors of the checker to red and green.

Apply the mtl to the sphere

Add basic fur on your sphere with ornatrix

Add the same mtl

Render

 

You will see that the color of the fur doesnt match exactly the color of the sphere

No way to check since I don't have the Maya version of the plugin but once curious, always curious :)

I wonder if the above could be related to a similar case under 3ds Max:
