Description: | Distribution map messes up previously combed guides. |
Steps to Reproduce: | Create basic fur and then comb the guides to look nice. Add a distribution map in the GuidesFromMeshNode and the guides will jump all over the place destroying the previous work. |

I suppose using Remember Root Positions would help, however it would be better and more elegant not to have to remember to do it.

Yes, the correct workflow is to set up your distribution before perfoming any editing. You should avoid using distribution map in GuidesFromSurfaceNode or use the Remember Root Positions, as you discovered. Edit Guides depends on the indices and order of incoming guides. Changing the incoming guides modifies this order. Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)

ok makes sense, is it possible to add this info to the docs? I find myself refering to the Max docs for things that are not in the maya docs yet.
