Problem

Description:

select -r GuidesFromMeshNode1 ;
// Error: file: C:/Program Files/Ephere/Ornatrix for Maya/scripts/AETemplates/AEGuidesFromMeshNodeTemplate.mel line 99: Object is not a child: //

Steps to Reproduce:

select GuidesFromMeshNode with the intention of editign the distribution channel. After half a second it dissapears from teh atribute editor. and maya throws the error.

Do you have the hypershape window opened at the same time? If yes, can you please try closing it and see if the error still happens?

I'll check since this happens intermittently.

Why would the hypershade affect this?

There's a currently known issue when if two Attribute Editors display some of our operators (GuidesFromMeshNode being one of them) only one of the AEs will display the distribution buttons properly and another will give an error as you have. This is on a lower priority fix list at the moment since it only happens if Hypershade is open and can be worked around if you use the correct AE window.

Curious I'll have to look closer. I usually remove the extra AE window in Hypershade. I'll play around and report back.

So I've just had this distribution channel option dissapear with hyper shade open and without the extra AE window in the hypershade. Will look forward to a fix because I use the hypershade on a second screen and oftne drag textures etc into the AE display. Closing it just to work with Ornatrix is anoying but I can make due for now.

Thanks
