Description: | i have a probl with dynamics, - make sphere - add ortnatrix hair - by default lenght is 50, so i cut it down to 1 (dont need a hair half of meter :) ) - add dynamics node, and press play!!!
as you can see the hair just freezes to the sphere (even with G -9.8) |

Hi Milroad, Does it simulate OK with a longer length for you? Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)

yes, but i have a feeling, when you change the lenght is like you changed the scale of scene??? And the hair is acting like you changed the scale of the scene... also i notice that particle radius is making problem when its 0, i had to tweak it untill i got the proper hair movement, + in maya 16 when im in VP2 its not updating viewport?
cheers | ||

When particle radius is 0 it is computed automatically from the scale of the object. Setting it to non-0 allows you to manually set particles scale. Regarding viewport update, make sure you have your scene evaluation set to DG: https://ephere.com/plugins/autodesk/maya/ornatrix/docs/1/Guides_or_Hair_Update_Problems.html Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)

thanks for reply, i already tried and its not working, when i cut down the lenght its still acting like whole scene is scaled down... When someone cut your hair, dynamic of your hair is still the 'same', as i already reply, i will make an video, explaing whats the general problem... p.s. what will happen if i have a character with 2 type of hair? One long and one short?
