Description:

The latest build or Ornatrix (build 1.2.2.10820) doesn't seem to work at all with the 5.0 release of Arnold for Maya 5.0. The Arnold-specific rerndering options don't appear in the Orinatrix nodes, nor do any curves show in Arnold renders. Things seem to be completely broken.

Steps to Reproduce:

- make sure Arnold to Maya 5.0 is active in Maya 2017

- create default unit sphere

- add Ornatrix  FurBall preset to the sphere

* the Arnold specific options don't show up anywhere

Yes, we are aware of this. Solid Angle made some big internal changes to their API, we are working to support Arnold 5. I will keep you posted.

Thanks for the response. Do you have a rough idea of your timeline for a fix? Are we looking at days, weeks, months? I really hope it's not that latter!

Should be days, we already have it working it seems just need to fix some issues. Major compiler switch is what delayed this.

Arnold 5 is now suported in the latest nighly (1.2.2.10911 or later) please give it a try and let us know if you encounter any issue.

You guys are awesome! I'll give it a try tonight and post my feedback here.

Early tests seem to work just fine, but I'm just about to get into a more involved groom and will be hitting more features. I'll report any irregularities I find.

Thank you! Please test the new hair shader included in Arnold 5 and let us know if everything is working well (UVs, Curve IDs).

I seem not be able to get a texture applied to the hair using Arnolds new standard hair shader.

We have updated the translator to pick the UV map up correctly, now you can render textures on Ox hair using Arnold 5. This has been solved 10 days ago but I coulnt find this post to update you, sorry for the delay. Please give it a try (If you haven't done yet) and let us know.

I just switched to Arnold 5 and am having the same issue. By default the hair doesn't seem to honour any of the aiStandardHair parameters, If I check 'Per-Strand Coordinates, then the shader renders correctly, but I am unable to texture the hair with maps.
