Problem

Description:

Hello, I came across this problem when I was trying to link a light to a character's eyes. Ornatrix doesn't seem to respect light centric linking. I searched for information about this and couldn't find anything. I want my character's eyes to have more illumination in my scene without it effecting the hair. Let me know if there's a fix.

Steps to Reproduce:

Create two objects and a spot light. Put a fur ball groom on one and light link the other object to the spot light. The hair still gets effected by the light.

Anyone find a solution to this? I came across this problem too. I am using the latest build.

Hey, Yeah the solution is render layers and comping it together. Maya's xgen has the same problem.

Hi guys,

I'm sorry that I missed this post in August. I can confirm this issue, I will see if we can do something about it. Thank you for the report.

Hi Guys,

We discovered that this could be a problem with the Arnold Translator since we don't have this problem with other renders like Redshift, we are working to fix this. Let me know if you have this problem in other render engines. Thanks again for reviving this post.
