| Maya 2017 update 04 - Window 7 pro |
| Hi Kevin, We are aware of this. This is because recent internal changes to Ornatrix and we are waiting for Chaos Group to implement those changes in their engine. It shouldn't take long, I will keep you updated. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.) |
| Hello - is there a work around for this? We urgently need to get this to work. Same error: maya 2018 vray 3.60.04 ornatrix v2.0.6.13726 The demo version didn't have this error. Can we use a previous version or ornatrix? We're currently converting hair to geo but not ideal. Cheers, Jeremy |
| Hi, I can try contacting Chaos Group again but we actually don't recommed using Ox V2 beta in production, only for testing. Maybe you can go back to V1 and try to load your scene, which may give you some problems if you build your whole hair objects in V2, or maybe you can render the hair as mesh using MeshFromStrands. | Thank you - I didn't realize I was using the beta - have tested V1 and all is good. |
| Hi, Another work arround if you want to use the beta is, instead of adding the ChangeWidthNode to change the strand thickness, use RenderSettingsNode. This node has been deprecated and is no longet in the shelf but you can add it using the following MEL command: OxAddStrandOperator "" "RenderSettingsNode"; Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. | any update on this? thanks Andy |
| Hi Andy, This is already on Chaos Group hands. We have to wait for them to adopt this new changes. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.) |
