Problem

Description:

I've been using the brushes on the edit guides and seems to work fine for about 5 minutes. If I switch to another node my memory spikes yo 80% and the viewport freezes. It take about 10 minutes for it to come back. There must be something I'm doing wrong. Is the viewport Open GL - legacy or directx?  It seem like it's a viewport issue.

Steps to Reproduce:

In Maya 2018 Ornatrix version v2.0.7 make a million hairs and edit the guides with brushes and select another node.

Yeah it was a little high. It was at 100,000 so I turned it down to 1,000 and used the brushes and it still spiked. I think it might be that I have three hair system on one mesh. Is it possible to select faces to add hair or do I have seperate mesh for each hair stacks?

Ok, it was that I had three hair system on one mesh.  Sorry for the mess up.

Answering to your previous question, yes, you can select faces to add hair to them, this way you can have several hair systems on the same mesh.
