Data created:30 August
New:
- Added the V-Ray Standalone plugin to the official distribution
- Adopt External Guides now works by strand groups
- Hair Shape: added a viewport strand count fraction for Render-Mode Evaluation, replacing the all-or-nothing viewport update toggle
- Added an option to temporarily hide the hair while fitting a graft groom or preset
- Draw Strand: drawn guides now inherit the strand group of the closest guide, with options controlling what else is inherited
- Create Brush: guides created by the brush now inherit the strand group of the closest guide
- Reworked the Maya tool icons, fixing missing, wrong and aliased ones
- About dialog: the version number can now be copied to the clipboard
- Arnold: messages logged inside the Ornatrix library now reach Maya's log
- Removed the unsupported GPU Display options from the macOS version

Fixed:
- Crash when adding a Clump node in a branch
- Maya crash during grooming
- Crash loading a groom whose base mesh has no geometry
- Groom directory scan crashed with a stack overflow when a groom referencing a topology hash had no .oxgs graft surface next to it
- Recording an animation cache from Python deadlocked Maya when a Moov Physics node was in the stack
- Symmetry operator stopped working after a groom was imported, because Vector3 parameters were written as float into double attributes
- Clumping was quadratic in strand count when the amount ramp displaced the roots
- Hair From Guides: Segment interpolation broke for most strand point counts
- Mesh From Strands: enabling Cap Ends broke the whole output mesh
- Mesh From Strands: the Rotate Strips command did not affect the strip at index 0
- Clump Guides create method used the bottom-most stack guides instead of the guides that generated the hair
- Clump: manually made node editor connections were removed when the node was disabled and re-enabled
- Edit Clumps: selecting a clump did nothing when the operator left hairs unclumped
- Edit Clumps: the position triad did nothing in the Scale and Rotation edit modes
- Edit Guides: selection picked strands of a hidden groom
- Edit Guides: the selection mode button left the mode instead of taking the tool back from a brush
- Selection was not working in the viewport
- Guides from Hair could only be added above operators declaring an output hair attribute
- Groom parameters whose name contains a space had no effect on the hair, and the Groom Parameters UI misread the script
- Unboxing a grafted groom failed with "Cannot connect graftSurface to EditGuides"
- Graft surface topology hash did not resolve when loading a groom, leaving the base mesh empty
- Graft groom thumbnails were read from the old cache location and no longer appeared
- Fur Ball and Hair Ball groom presets imported with scrambled clumps, because the procedural Sphere topology was not round-tripped
- Groom import aborted with "Attribute outColor not found" when a texture map had no asset file
- Loading a scene with Ornatrix hair marked it modified and pushed a render callback command onto the undo stack
- Hair Shape: the Display Strand Groups option showed the strand channels instead
- Isolate Selected: the Hide button was twice the height of Unhide All in the Attribute Editor
- Moov attribute editor state leaked between Moov Physics nodes, corrupting the parameter UI until Maya was restarted
- OxSaveGroom silently exported a different object when the given target did not resolve
- The Save Groom button carried on after logging "No HairShape selected"
- Arnold: a groom export failure was invisible until the procedural failed to load the file, and a failed load reported two identical errors without the reason
- Arnold: the procedural could not load a groom assigning a strand channel to an operator parameter
