After collapsing the hair stack and importing the character into a animation scene for rendering all the hair will not render unless I turn the display fraction amount up to 1 under the bakedHairNode. This makes navigating in the viewport very difficult. Is this a bug or am I doing something incorrectly. |
Hello, This is how is suppose to work but this is a good point. I will see if we can add an option to display 100% on the render while keeping the viewport hair % low. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)
My bad. Ornatrix already have this functionality. Though I cannot reproduce the bug yet. I will look into it. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)
Are you importing the hair using the Import option in file, Ornatrix Alembic cache or referencing the file? Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)
The hair is not animated so I am not using the Alembic work flow. Our workflow is going like this...we are animating on a rig that does not have fur then after animation is done we are importing the file with fur and rendering it out.
Hello, This issue will be fixed for the next build. For now, you can work around it by using the following MEL command in the script editor before rendering, then save the scene: OxSetIsRendering true. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)
