Hi

We have a lot of problems with the new 2.4.0.20213 when we open old files, it says sytaxis error, open the scene, but it is corrupt... lost all ornatrix nodes.

Attached Files:

>ornatrix_problem.JPG (304330 bytes),

I have a lot of problems with .ma files, but somes old version of my scene .mb works

this problem is not a 2.4.0.20213 version, it happen with older versions.
sometime files .ma are not saved right. it does not show any error message. but if you want to open it later, those files are corrupts... you can still work after save it, it seems right, but you gonna lose all your works if you save it as .ma..... very dangerous.

I can't see a problem in the picture of the log.

Please at least provide the contents of the Script Editor as text (not a picture), or better provide the corrupt scene itself.

we discover why it makes the scene corrupt.... we move some images, some maps, and when we open the scene, ornatrix do not find those images.

I think it is easy to solve from you.
with .mb it does not happend, I think.

When you load scene that references missing map files, you should get warnings like this in the Script Editor:

// Warning: Texture file C:/Users/ikolev/Documents/maya/projects/default//sourceimages/Checker256x256.png doesn't exist, node file1 //

and any operators should simply behave as if they are not assigned any maps.

I tried with a simple setup, a fur ball applied to a plane, and a .png set as Distribution Map for the GuidesFromMesh operator. When I opened the .ma scene after removing the map file (Checker256x256.png), I got the above messages and the guides covered the whole plane instead of the areas defined by the map.

If you get other error messages or other unexpected behavior, please provide an example scene (preverred format is zipped .ma).
