Hair scale on base mesh

I have a hair groom on a very small character and I need to transfer the hair to a larger chatacter. Is there a way to make the hair groom not mesh scale dependent?

You can re-scale only the hair shape and then re-ground it to a new distribution mesh using GroundStrands operator:
