sometimes it seems that i cant select any guides (because they are all already selected [red colours])

I click the "Edit strands mode"-button (all turn red),

then I want to select some strands but nothing happens, no strands get de/selected,

also notice

the Attribute-window-tab "EditGuides" also disappears.

is that a bug or do i dont know how to use that?
