Caching - Wreck's hair from guides up the chain

Hi there. I am using Ornatrix for the second time on a kiwi character.

I have a rig with a basic ornatrix network added for testing. Currently I have a moonPhysics node with an animation cache node above it.

This is being referenced into a walk cycle animation scene. I can simulate the guides fine in a test animation scene and use the cache fine (ovewrite input on)

If I then enable any nodes above the cache the hair from guides produces unexpected results, see pic. 


I'm curious, Does the animation cache have to be at the very top of the stack?
