Ornatrix (2.4.9.21924) redshift version 2.6.51 rsproxy and interactive rendering (maya 18.4)
Hello,
BUG with redshift/Ornatrix
When using Ornatrix: creating a rsproxy or using the interactive rendering it only generates/renders the viewport display count of fur. The normal renderer renders the correct hair count not the viewport display. This becomes very time consuming as the work around is to make the viewport hair count at 100% - so super slow if you have a large number of hairs - then generate the rsproxy or do your interactive render. I have also noticed that if you do a normal render and cancel it then an interactive render the correct hair count renders.
We have just started a project with multiple furred characters which will multiply this pain.
I would appreicate if it can be fixed.
Also I have put this on the Redshift forum and I got this response:
The Ornatrix extension for Redshift is mostly maintained by the folks at Ephere. Have you contacted them about the issues you’re having?
The issue with the VP% vs render % is due to the fact that Ornatrix uses a pre-render script to switch from VP% to render %. You need to execute the same pre-render script prior to exporting your RS proxy in order to have the render % take effect (then run the post render script to switch back to VP%).
Also the overall translation prior to actually rendering is very slow - is this going to be improved?
Please help
Cheers,
Jeremy
