Hi teams!

I have a question about unhandled exception error.

I selected EditGuides in operators stack,

and selected Edit Control Points Mode button,
(it happen with Edit Strands Mode also)

and pressed w key on my keyboard to try to move some points.

and then before move tool appearing, Maya just shut down itself with no warning.

Specifically, it happen only when I press w key, and it happen 100%.

I don't have any custom hot key on my w key. It's default setting.

And Once I had solved it my self, that is just deleting my prefs folder.
(C:\Users\Username\maya\2019\ja_JP\prefs)

There was no problem that day and I could move my guide points with w key.

But now it happened again. I have no idea what is going on.

If you know something, please let me know.

I will send my log file and dmp file.

Maybe I don't need to send my maya file, because it also happen with simple clean scene.

Thank you in advence!

Please double-click the Move tool to open the Tool Settings panel and check the value of Axis Orientation.

We know that Maya crashes if you try to enter any of the Edit Guides component modes if the value of Axis Orientation is Component.

We haven't been able to find the cause of this bug so far.

Workaround is to just not use Component mode with any of the transformation tools (rotate / scale along with move).

Now I solved it!! Thank you so much for your help.

Right. My Axis Orientation was Component.

So before touching Edit Guides, I exchanged the Axis Orientation Component to another,

And it worked!!

Thank you again!!
