Animating curves by hand, linear wire equivalent?

Hey I'm trying to find a way to rig up the hair to move, with some manual rigging controls, instead of relying on dynamics.  If client wants lets say a pony tail to move left instead of right, i want to be able to have that get rigged and have that curve info drive the hair spawn as guides.

Xgen lets you do stuff like that with Linear Wire modifier, does ornatrix have any way of achieving that?

Is dynamics the only way to have ornatrix hair move or are there any other ways of deforming curves and using them as guides?

Hi Kosta,

Use Adopt External Guides node: https://ephere.com/plugins/autodesk/maya/ornatrix/docs/2/Adopt_External_Guides.html

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Jeordanis, I just wanted to make sure I can actually add the maya nurb curves as control guides in adoptExternalGuides, as it only lets me add control guides to ornatrix groom systems not native maya nurbs.  I've attached a picture album to demonstrate what I'm trying to do.

Thanks in advance

You have to convert the Maya native curves to Ornatrix guides. Select all the curves and click Add Hair to Selection, then select the Hair From Curves preset.
