If I open maya2022 with ornatrix installed, it crashes for sure.
If I open maya2022 and then browse to it from the plugin manager, it will work, but not properly.
Is there a cause or a solution?

Can you send us the crash log generated by Ornatrix and the one generated by Maya? If you are using Windows, you can find them in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp. The log generated by Ornatrix is called "<span>OrnatrixMaya.log". </span>

Apparently, there was a problem when migrating from Maya2020 to Maya2022, when I copied the preferences.Resetting the preferences solved the problem.
